16th April 2026 | marcella turner

Can-Survive UK has been announced as one of the winners of the 2026 GSK IMPACT Awards. Awarded by global biopharma company GSK in partnership with The King’s Fund, it is given for  exceptional work improving health and wellbeing. Can-Survive UK CEO Marcella Turner writes:

This is a moment of huge pride for us.
I’m incredibly proud to share that Can-Survive UK has been awarded the 2026 GSK Impact Award.
This recognition means so much — not just to our organisation, but to the communities that inspires our work every single day.
For me personally, this award is a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. Every day we see the courage of community members and families facing cancer while navigating cultural, social, and economic barriers.
Their resilience drives our mission, shapes our programmes, and fuels our determination to create equitable, culturally sensitive cancer support.
Thank you to our dedicated team, our volunteers, our partners, and everyone who has walked alongside us.
We are grateful for the recognition from The King’s Fund and GSK and the support from our funders and stakeholders.
Your belief in our vision and community-led support has made this possible.
To our staff, volunteers, funders, and partners – thank you.
This award belongs to community members who trust us with their fears, hopes, tears, victories and inspire our work every day: thank you.  Your commitment and courage make achievements like this possible.
