I find working with the service users at CSUK very rewarding. It is a pleasure working with all the service users. Facilitating the support groups here at Kath Locke Centre, tailoring social and activities to meet their individual needs and, providing a warm, friendly, confidential and welcoming space.
It is always nice to see the service users come along to the group. Being part of the group have many benefits; opportunity to socialise, develop valuable skills, such as, communication, art, creative writing, cooking, and relaxation and meditation, supporting service users to better manage the stress and anxiety that cancer can bring. Service users speak about ‘a sense of belonging’ in the feedback sessions that we have.
